Michael Moore once again makes a ton of sense. We know that any Democrat can win California, Illinois and New York. We also know that this election if primarily about regime change.
Michael Moore has signed on with Wes Clark primarily because he thinks Clark has the best chance of reclaiming Arkansas, Tennessee, Nevada, Florida, Ohio, West Virginia et al. Clark also has the best chance of neutralizing Bush's advantage on national security. As the polls show Bush tanking on most domestic issues, the candidate who can best neutralize Bush's advantage on his one strong point is also the candidate who is most likely to reclaim the country.
Personally, I can enthusiastically endorse and work for any candidate not named Lieberman, for whom I would reluctantly vote anyway, given no other choice. This election is first and foremost about DEFEATING GEORGE BUSH AND DICK CHENEY.
I've recently visited Wes Clark's website and like all of what I see. His endorsements by Michael Moore and George McGovern have made me seriously consider his candidacy.
While I've attended meetups for Howard Dean and thrice donated to his campaign, I was never particularly fond of him as governor of my home state. His strong opposition to single payer health coverage never sat well with me, but in my enthusiasm for eliminating George Bush, his well run campaign drew me in. His ability to energize the previously apathetic is a strong selling point for his candidacy.
I no longer believe that he is the best option for regime change and as I believe that regime change is at the heart of this election, I am, at least temporarily switching allegiance.
