I appreciate the value of this board for a few reasons:
1.The ability it gives us to share information, and I suppose to be at some level a "peer review" type area.
2.The ability to fundraise.
3.The ability to test messages.
But, let's not overlook the following
1.Many here were Dean supporters and look at how that went.
2.Let's not forget the case of Harry Sampson (who?)
Continued
Harry Sampson was the Maryland 1st Democratic Congressional candidate promoted by Kos. I hope Kos doesnt' take offense at this, and I certainly am not bringing this up to embarress him, but, well, Harry Sampson bombed.
This was the result:
1.Ann Tamlyn (02 nominee) 14,302
2.Kostas Alexakis 10,043
3.Steven R. Eastaugh 7,739
4.Harry Sampson 7,206
To show how bad a defeat this was, from OpenSecrets.org, this is the amount of money raised by Ann Tamlyn: $0

What concerns me about the amount of money raised by Bush for reelection isn't the $100-130 million they are planning to spend on TV, but the $40-70 million they will be doing in grass roots organizing. I've read that they already have a precinct captain in every precinct in every competitive state.
I appreciate that people can walk and chew gum at the same time, and I'm not trying to diminish the size of Kos' board, but I have to ask if we wouldn't often be better spending our time making phone calls/going door to door or doing the myriad other things that the local/national election campaigns needs rather than talking to each other here.
