What was Howard Dean's campaign line all the way? It's about "jobs, education, and healthcare." That's what he'd say over and over again when asked about side issues that didn't matter. One of these side issues recently seized upon by the DNC and Kerry, Vietnam service, is another issue that doesn't matter, and like Iraq is a distraction from the real war on terror, focusing on Vietnam takes away from debate on the issues that really matter in this election.
Two, count them, two Yahoo! News articles have come from the wires in recent days, giving me reason to believe that Kerry is no more or less electable than any of the other candidates, including Howard Dean -- in fact, Howard Dean (and now John Edwards) was right. Check out these articles, and tell me if I'm way off base here, but they match exactly what I was thinking all along to begin with: this election is about our country's future, not about a candidate's alleged "electability" based on his Vietnam service.
Even so, yet another Yahoo! News article shows Kerry challenging Bush to a debate about Vietnam -- what is the point of this if it is not going to sway voters? And why should I trust Kerry to run the country when he doesn't focus on the issues in his campaign? I eagerly await your responses.

I just can't make sense of it all. Maybe you can help me.
