It's getting hard to keep up with the number of states that raised their minimum wage above the pathetic federal level of $5.15 per hour. This is a nice problem to have.
At last count, 21 states (including the great state of West Virginia) and the District of Columbia have adopted or approved higher minimums. Voters in Nevada approved an increase in 2004 but this must go before voters again this year.

Let Justice Roll is an nonpartisan umbrella of more than 60 faith, labor, and community organizations working to make the minimum wage a living wage at the federal and state level.
Aside from news, the website also has downloadable resources, including a report titled "A Just Minimum Wage: Good for Workers, Business and Our Future" by Holly Sklar and the Rev. Dr. Paul Sherry, which is full of useful information to make the case for an increase.
