A Honolulu paper has an uncritical & completely laudatory
profile of Rev. Ted Haggard, president of the
National Association of Evangelicals.
It's not surprising to read that he's opposed to the separation of church & state or that he speaks weekly with Pres. Bush. But it is surprising to learn that he's so loving & tolerant of non-Christians that his organization has been accused of veering "dangerously close to liberalism" (in the reporter's words).
(Yeah, right.)
Hmmm. But what about the good reverend's view (stated on his own website) that "unbelievers will be judged by God and sent to hell where they will be eternally tormented with the devil and the fallen angels"?
Maybe a letter to the editor could help set the record straight.
