The rule of the Democrats and the Republican political parties, and of their corporate bosses, must end. How much more insanity can the world take? The U.S. government is giving the initiative to extremists around the world, and breeding a new generation of terrorists and reactionaries.
Just in, from Iraq, via AP, "Attack on Baghdad Shiite Slum Kills 44":
The feared resumption of mass sectarian violence erupted Sunday in a Baghdad Shiite slum when bombers blew apart two markets shortly before sundown, killing at least 44 people and wounding about 200.

RenaRF's recommended diary,
Comptroller General of the US Delivers Alarming Barn Burner, amply documents how the Republicans are bankrupting the country. The Democrats are their "enablers", by running from all opposition that is meaningful, and especially, by refusing to mobilize the population against the murderers and liars in the White House.
This is beyond impeachment. If the world is to survive in any recognizable form, and take up the incredibly complex challenge of confronting religious extremism armed with advanced weaponry and state power, and the challenge of fixing the massive imbalance between haves and have-nots on a global basis, and dealing with the beckoning world crisis of environmental destruction and havoc, then we must put in place a system that can take on such historical tasks.
Only socialism/communism has the possibility of solving these problems on a world scale.
I know... I know... the Soviet Union was a terror. Socialism has been "proven" wrong, etc., etc.
But 99.9% of you barely know anything about the history of these matters, this being one of the most ignorant populations on historical matters in the world, and anti-intellectual to boot. And even those who do know something are mostly scribblers and ideologues bought off and paid for by the capitalist elite. -- How many of you have really researched this question yourselves?
The expropriation of the banks and major industry, put in the hands of a new legislature, run by and policed against electoral fraud by the people themselves, would be a start in putting right a government and system that would stand for economic and political justice, equal rights for all, and a commitment to the end of nationalist wars and global domination by the large corporations.
Pipe dream? Maybe we need such pipe dreams as the nightmare that is Bush's America takes on more and more alarming form.
What would the ghosts of the 44 killed in a Baghdad slum have to say? "Stay the course"? "Vote Democratic in 2006"?
or how about "Expropriate the expropriators! For a world revolution against tyranny and bigotry and ignorance"?
