I am going to be doing this as I am hearing reports. Listening currently to a driver of a bus full of supplies from Ann Arbor, Michigan and on their way to Franklinton in Washington Parish!!! They will be there within an hour and setting up a 'command center'!
Was just on the phone with Ronnie Flores who is in Shreveport and damn near singlehandedly telling the people who are driving down in buses, trucks w/trailers and semis, where to go and setting up police escorts if needed. He expects over a dozen semis in the next day and will send them to specific towns to set up distribution/command centers. He has asked me to be the California connection.
If this does not make it to recommended status, go over to my blog. I will be journaling my trials and tribulations as I prepare to go and get everything together, as well as journaling my conversations with the contacts I've made and continue to make.

I am heading to Texas (hopefully with a trailer) a week from today and so much must still happen before that.
Yes, I need donations, the information regarding the account is on the blog site and there is a PAYPAL donation button there and all donations will go directly into the OCEAN RELIEF FUND which is set up through US BANK. Donations can also be made directly into the account at any US BANK location. Email me with your telephone number and I will call you with the account number.
I don't intend to waste time here explaining, it is over on the blog. I would appreciate this getting read far and wide, so please pass this on.
If you are taking a truck with supplies down, contact me and I will put you in touch with Ronnie IMMEDIATELY.
I am also in contact with San Diego Airlift who has flown in refugees this morning and is now loading the plane and SENDING IT BACK to Baton Rouge with supplies...the only think that sucks is the RC won't assist with getting trucks to distribute...so typical of them...
Have contacted Noah's Wish in Colorado and if I get a horse trailer to haul out with supplies, I will also assist in animal rescue.
PLEASE read the blog, donate if you can. If anyone has a horse trailer in San Diego area they'll let me use, email me.
If you want to talk to me to get to know me before you donate, email me with your phone number and I will call you and give you references.
My compassion is to help those in need...NOW. One way or the other I will be leaving next Sunday and I hope that those at DAILYKOS will assist. We MUST ALL CONTINUE TO HELP.
In Peace....
