Hello everyone!
So this will be my final diary for the 1st Dkos NYC meetup, which takes place tonight, Wednesday, at 7:00. Here are the details:
Yaffa's Tea Room
353 Greenwich Street (at Harrison)
Take the 1 or 9 to Franklin or the 2 or 3 to Chambers.
I'm told by a regular that it's better to meet in the tea room than the bar (it's quieter and it's easier to eat in there). If you can't make it at exactly 7, that is okay. If you can't come until later and you want to make sure that we're still around, email me (janeknowles@gmail.com), and I'll send you back my cell phone number.
I'm thinking that this first time there will be between 10 and 20 people there. Remember, if you have friends, feel free to bring them along. There is no agenda this first time folks, just taking that big plunge, meeting face to face and enjoying the company of some like-minded people. (Maybe a few meetings down the road we can conspire to rule the world!)
And I think that's it. I hope I see lots of you tonight!
p.s. For those of you hoping to have a real-life debate with part time New Yorker Armando--or perhaps throw a drink in his face because of a past debate--sadly, he won't be in the Big Apple until April Fool's Day (coincidence? I don't think so!). The other big dawg frontpager, DavidNYC, who has roots here, but is now going to school in DC, chose to prioritize studying over hanging out--as if Dave! We'll get 'em next time folks! Until then, I can regale you with tails of the time I <<breaking!!!>> SHOOK HANDS with none other than Kos!!
