I just got back a little while ago from taking my two youngest daughters on a sign-waving exercise for Jerry Brown, Barbara Boxer, and Esiquio Uballe. (It was put together by the intrepid Uballe campaign.) The youngest went out with a fellow campaign worker to leaflet; the next oldest stayed with me and waved flags, signs, and banners. Both had a good time. For the next hour or so, I'm going back to rounding up volunteers by phone.
Tomorrow I go to the Uballe HQ to make phone calls, then will put up signs and do some lit drops in the evening. Sunday I will phonebank until mid-afternoon, and then go see Jerry Brown in Riverside, where I'll pass out literature for him and for Bill Hedrick. (I'm hoping to bring my kids, unless they want to trick-or-treat.) Then more lit drops. Monday I've promised to go help Melissa Fox's campaign in Irvine, and I will stay there leafleting for the Gavin Newsom speech. Tuesday I will leaflet at a local college in the morning, then start making the rounds of polling places and call in who hasn't voted for each while there's still time to call them. Then a party at Uballe HQ. On Wednesday, I will sleep late.
What are you doing for the next four days?
