Knitting together the freshly spun yarn from the White House of Horrors results in a curious new fabric of altered unreality:
- Rove's badly-damaged status has ended his abiilty to prosecute the GWOT. Recall that it was Rove who originally gave the green light to Wolfowitz and the PNAC ranters. He was the one who injected their imperial fantasies into Dubya's feeble but susceptible brain.
- Because Rove may well be indicted for a breach of national security, his ability to portray the administration as warlike champions of national defense is evaporating.
- The US military, in the process of disintegrating under the stress of an unsustainable losing war in the Mideast, is probably beginning to balk at future impossible missions (e.g., nuking IRAN).
- McCain may have enough sympathizers among Republican senators to reverse the policies of prisoner abuse that Rove cultivated for political reasons.
- When General Myers said that the War on Terror nomenclature was no longer desirable, that was enormously revealing of Rove's failure. GWOT was the one trick of the Pony that Bush rode to re-election.
- When Rumsfeld announced that he favors accelerated withdrawal from Iraq, he essentially declared that General Rove has lost the Iraq war.
- Now all we have to wait for is a declared victory, the futher collapse of Iraq, and, of course, the conviction and pardoning of Karl Rove.
- General Rove has lost the war, so Bush will soon be giving him a medal.
