Republicans hate bureaucrats. While this year's crop of aspirants for jobs in the House and Senate have settled on Washington as the object of their enmity, but where they want to be employed, "Washington" is just another version of the same old song.
Republicans hate bureaucrats. Why? Because bureaucrats keep records and documentary evidence makes it hard to lie. Even when the documents get lost, their absence is a nuisance, as many of our major bankers are even now discovering.

The banner ads on KOS are probably state-specific and that's why I'm being reminded of Nathan Deal. He's the former Congressman who resigned so he could seek the Georgia Governor's seat and who just happened to forget some $2.8 million in outstanding loans. Which can probably be explained as embarrassment.
But, up in New Hampshire, there's a candidate for the first Congressional District slot whose bad memory syndrome has made him forget where $355,000 in his bank account came from. Really!
From a whole Congress perspective, just as we've gotten rid of one memory-deficient bloke, another is fixin' to take his place, in the very body which is charged with holding the nation's purse strings. If these people want us to believe that they'll do a better job keeping track of our money than they keep track of their own, it's not just their memory that's bad. It's a matter of trust.
