The other day in a diary the topic came up and some people felt like it could be a good idea to see where we stood as a community. Every so often we have had these diaries where people self-identify and introduce why they identify themselves ((or do not)) as they do.
More after the break
So, this is not meant to be scientific, of course. It is self-selected, it is only for people logging in, for people filling this out at this time, subject to trolls, etc. But it gives a general idea of who we as a community are at this time. So please feel free to expand on what your answer was and the answers of others.
"Sexual orientation" is a term frequently used to describe a person’s romantic, emotional or sexual attraction to another person. As such I've included the main categories usually included in such orientation scales. As transmen and transwomen are not an orientation (can obviously be any orientation they are not included as an orientation since it would make no sense to do so). I have included asexual as in the past some people have noted the need for it in the comment section as well as 'queer' as a seperate category, for the same reason. I will let them expand on their rational if they so desire in their own words.
