I sent email out about an hour ago, and got this back...
Dear Ms. Average Person - I'm curious - who put you up to mass e-mailing your pro-Kerry debate message because our box is full of these, all with the same basic language. A rather pathetic attempt, especially sad as we are one talk show that doesn't drink the "Republican" Kool-Aid. Like to see you answer this, if you even exist.
I responded...
Well, thank you so much for your email back. It is nice to know that there are people who are awake and reading emails at this late hour.
No one put me up to sending out these emails, but, as you point out, the media has become a giant talking Republican echo chamber. If there is any prayer that our country will remain free, we need a free press, and in order to have a free press, the press needs to know that some people aren't big Republicans.
In case you are curious, part of my family trends Republican, the other part trends Democratic. I am the small business person in the family, and tend to go Republican for that reason, but am also a woman in technology, and tend to go Democrat for that reason. I used to be as independent as one could be, but I will be voting for Kerry this election.
I'm very glad that you are receiving emails from people who are interested in keeping our country free by staying active in politics, even if it's just at the email level. This gives me great confidence that voter turn-out will be very high this year.
Best wishes, and good night!
