Here in Minnesota, we're known for having clean elections. Well...
The AP is reporting the following:
Hennepin County election judges have been dealing with overly aggressive vote challengers looking for fraud early Tuesday.
County Elections Manager Rachel Smith says precinct judges have had what she calls "very firm exchanges" with poll watchers who didn't seem to understand their role.
Specifically, she says they were wandering into secure areas and challenging voters for the wrong reasons.
Smith says challengers may only sit behind the registration tables and may only challenge someone's right to vote based on their personal knowledge, not the voter's behavior.
Minnesota Majority was one of a coalition of conservative groups that recruited 8,000 volunteers to seek out voter fraud at the polls. Executive Director Dan McGrath says he hasn't heard of any confrontations and says his volunteers were trained in correct procedures.
Not hearing anything is the new millenium's equivalent of "I can't recall."
People in Minnesota, watch out for these people and help out, if you can.
They are trying to steal the Governor's seat for Tom Emmer. It's bad enough he doesn't get how real people, like waiters, make money. Now, he figures he can steal the office from Mark Dayton.
UPDATE: Minnesota Public Radio has just confirmed the AP report.
