(First off sorry about the typoes...I am typing from a small town in Argentina and the only spell-check the have is for Spanish....)
Everyone here is familiar with the idea that a picture is worth a thousand words. Well right now most Americans hear the word torture, and it really doesn´t mean anything to them...it is just a word. So after the new Army field manual is published, I am sure that someone will leak it. After it is leaked, we (Kossacks and all other interested parties) should find a Tv channel with a staff brave enough to actually show what the army allows the soldiers to do that is not considered torture. I am sure finidng a volunteer for the techniques would not be a problem.
As they say, sunlight is the best disenfectant. So simply get HBO or something equivalent to broadcast an hour long progam showing our "non-torture" techniques. How do you think Americans would respond to hearing and watching someone scream on camera in real pain all the while seeing a little disclaimer at the bottom of the creen stating, "please remember, this is NOT torture as defined by the Bush administration.
Thoughts?
