Remember when GWB appointed 2 new directors to the board of NPR during the same interim that gave us wingnut judges?
At the time, 1 of them said she believed a director had the right (or was it, 'responsibility') to intervene in programming to bring "balance" to coverage.
It made me shudder, of course. Ever since then I have been paying close attention, listening for changes. It does seem to me I've heard some; but then, while not a conspiracy freak, I have to admit-- in the interests of full disclosure-- that the last few years have etched deeper an engrained tendency to paranoia, about public affairs.
So I'd like to ask for your opinions and your help. Notice anything? Wanna vote?
