LONDON — The leader of a global Muslim movement has issued a fatwa, or religious edict, that he calls an absolute condemnation of terrorism.
Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, a former Pakistani lawmaker, says the 600-page fatwa bans suicide bombing "without any excuses, any pretexts, or exceptions."
Here it is
I don't really have much to add to make this into a real diary, but I don't care. I still feel compelled to at least bring this fatwa to people's attention.
A few months ago I posted a commented on a diary about religious profiling by saying that such profiling would continue so long a Muslim extremist rhetoric drowned out more moderate Muslim voices.
Well, here is one of those more moderate voices and I feel obligated to acknowledge and praise it.
That's all...
EDIT: Another American managed to make a better diary on this here.
