Now we're getting down to the end, and a nice appearance for the real healthcare reform hero, John Dingell, who requests the recorded vote for the reconciliation bill. We're almost done.
Update: Six minutes elapsed, and six votes away.
Update 2: So close. Five minutes left, three votes left.
Update 3: And we're there, at 217 - 204 with 4:54 remaining. Now it's back to the Senate (fingers crossed).
Update 4: For those still unsure about whether or not Congress can vote on a bill amending another bill that hasn't yet become law, you just saw them do it. The House passed a reconciliation bill that amends the main Senate health insurance reform bill, but that's not law yet, even though it's now passed both houses. That doesn't happen until President Obama signs it. --David Waldman
