From Halter's fundraising email today:
I don't have a Washington machine behind me, unlike my opponent. "A confirmed Washington insider - that's all she was, and is," according to Brummett.
I'm running because the Democratic Party has always been the party of big ideas, not the party of big banks. We've been the party of big dreams, not the party of big insurance companies. We've been the party of big change, not the party of big tax breaks for the wealthy.
So this race, this May, we all together have a chance to return the party of ideas and dreams and change to working on behalf of working Arkansas families.
Can you stand up for me before the campaign finance deadline at midnight tonight?
Wall Street banks and big insurance companies have a vote that they can count on. They see our campaign catching fire and they're going to do their level best to stop it. They are already attacking me on TV, in the mail, and on the Internet.
Because they know that with this race, this May, we have a chance to do what's right by Arkansans.
This is a fight worth fighting -- and I need your help to do it. If you believe like I do that working families need a voice in Washington, then help us get there.
The deadline is tonight at midnight. Every little bit helps.
Can I count on you to donate $5 before midnight?
Well, we hit 1,850.
How about an even 1,900?
