Bush - Cheney finally learns the art of advantageous losing. The press claims this is a major defeat...but meanwhile Halliburton is already wondering where it can cut corners and pocket chunks of the 7 billion dollar windfall.
If only the administration could apply this strategy to Iraq. We could just cut and run, let them nationalize Halliburtons assets in country, strengthen their support by being seen to run us off and hire Iraqui engineers who speak the language to fix the infrastructure.
If only we could apply this strategy to our Supreme Court issues. Listen to Bush, "It's hard...hard work" and these are old...old guys. We should help them out by adding another couple of justices to the court.
We could apply this to Diebold machines. We all know that he who laughs last laughs best, and that Diebold voting machines are
hackable, so the question really becomes who learns how to
hack them best and last.
Take it a step farther and think what the NSA data mining and behavioral analysis tools are going to be like once they fall into the hands of the black hats instead of the white hats.
In his latest e-mail, Fyodor tells nmap-hacker subscribers that FBI agents are demanding webserver log data from Insecure.Org. From his latest e-mail:
"They don't give me reasons, but they generally seem to be investigating a specific attacker who they think may have visited the Nmap page at a certain time....In some cases, they asked too late and data had already been purged through our data retention policy. In other cases, they failed to serve the subpoena properly. Sometimes they try asking without a subpoena and give up when I demand one....Protecting your privacy is important to me, but Nmap users should be savvy enough to know that all of your network activity leave traces....Remember this security mantra: defense in depth."
Getting back to Halliburton, and port security and lets say a couple of dozen LPGN tankers going off at the same time in all Americas ports, after we win the election in 2006 and take control of the Congress and impeach Bush - Cheney, and begin to attempt to recover some of the money the Republicans have looted from our treasury, thats going to be our headache.
I'm wondering how we should identify who our real enemies are. Aren't they really the very American corporations and oil and gas interests and military industrial contractors we intend to cut off from their feed troughs?
