Last night on Blog for America, there was a guest post from Marian Harris, who is the host of our central Ohio DFA Meetup. Her post addressed the election "reform" that was passed by the Republican majority of the Ohio legislature.
In the light of day, it proved to be not election reform but an effort to stifle the Democratic Party and the people who care about justice, fairness and progressive values. The law quadrupled the amount of political contributions to individuals, political parties and PACs. And if you're 8 years old or older, you can now contribute up to $10,000 (it used to be $2500) per election. How many 8 year olds do you know with $10,000?
