SurveyUSA for WHAS11/Courier-Journal. 4/9-11. Likely voters. MoE 2.3% (3/8 results)
Democratic Primary MoE 3.9%
Dan Monguardo (D) 35 (45)
Jack Conway (D) 32 (27)
Other 11 (9)
Undecided 21 (19)
Fantastic surge by Conway, who is by far superior on pretty much every issue to the odious Lieberdem Mongiardo.
In the GOP primary:
Republican Primary MoE 4.7%
Rand Paul (R) 45 (42)
Trey Grayson (R) 30 (27)
Other 6 (12)
Undecided 19 (19)
Paul has kept his 15-point lead, while creeping ever closer to the 50 percent mark. Rand will be the GOP nominee, much to the horror of Kentucky's Republican establishment.
On general election matchups, SUSA inexplicably limits to "Republican candidate" versus "Democratic candidate". On that front, we have float within the MoE:
Republican Candidate 44 (43)
Democratic Candidate 41 (42)
In this Red state (at the federal level), Democrats continue to have one of its best pickup opportunities. If the economy picks up a little bit, running against crazy ol' Rand, we stand a real chance. Give us Conway as the Democratic nominee, and we may actually have reason to get excited about this.
