Time to start watching Debrorah Pryce and her appointed henchmen -- these are the members of the House Republican Conference who are charged with enforcing Bush's agenda - - Nice to see social security has been converted into "retirement savings." Wonder who was in charge of that rhetorical flourish. Or "lawsuit abuse" or "voter values".
"House Republican Conference Chairwoman Deborah Pryce of Ohio today named chairmen of the Republicans' "Public Affairs Team" to promote the Conference's communications strategy in eight areas this session. They include Rep. Anne Northup of Kentucky on "retirement savings," Reps. Mario Diaz-Balart of Florida and Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee on "waste, fraud, and abuse," Rep. John Carter of Texas on "lawsuit abuse," Reps. Phil Gingrey of Georgia and Tim Murphy of Pennsylvania on "heathcare access and affordability," Rep. Kay Granger of Texas on "war on terror," Rep. Trent Franks of Arizona on "voter values," Rep. Michael Castle of Delaware on "education and career opportunities," and Rep. Todd Tiahrt of Kansas on "competitiveness." The chairmen are expected to work with rank-and-file members to promote these issues in their districts and with pollsters to track issues in each of their areas."
