SurveyUSA for Courier-Journal/WHAS-11. 5/9-11. Likely primary voters. MoE 3.9% (4/11 results)
Daniel Mongiardo (D) 38 (36)
Jack Conway (D) 37 (27)
Misc other 13 (10)
Undecided 12 (27)
Conway picked up two-thirds of the undecided vote last month, with the rest split among the odious Mongiardo and the rest of the fringe candidates in the primary.
The trends are in the right direction. You can help get us a shockingly good candidate in Kentucky, one who isn't just genuinely progressive on the majority of important issues, but who also runs best in general election matchups against likely GOP nominee Rand Paul:
Rand Paul (R) 49 (45)
Trey Grayson (R) 33 (30)
Misc other 7 (4)
Undecided 11 (21)
Buh bye, Trey. Mitch McConnell's boy is going to have a rough night next Tuesday, and so will the Senate Minority Leader himself. Indeed, Paul is already gunning for ol' Mitch.
Paul's likely nomination will be a huge stroke of luck for Democrats, as he runs far weaker in general election matchups than the less offensive Grayson (see the various matchups here). And it's clear that Conway runs much stronger against Paul than Mongiardo.
So we have a win-win -- the best Democrat in the race is also the best general election candidate to pick up this Republican seat. (Kind of like in Arkansas and Pennsylvania, come to think of it!)

Remember, the primary is next week. No more time to procrastinate.
p.s. We've got our own poll of this race coming out later today.
