You know how the polls said that there was only one Graham supporter for president. Well, that was me. I was the sole supporter of Bob Graham for US president. To me he was smart, dedicated, and not afraid to take a tough position. He was the only southern senator to vote against the Iraq War resolution. When he dropped out, I was OK with that because I hoped he would hold on to his Senate Seat. Well, that dream is long gone. I personally don't think Graham is going to be the VP nominee. If Dean gets the nomination, he will choose Clark as his running-mate. He already has said so. This means that we have lost a respectable Democratic southern voice. One fewer to counteract the Zell Miller's of the world.
I dont believe Dems will take the Senate. They would have to hold 3 of their open seats and find 2 more seats. That would be tough. If Breaux retires, it's all over. And the south would trend heavily Republican as predicted.
It's clear the Dems wont take the House, so the WH is all we have left. What are the chances?
I havent felt this down about the future of our country in a while...
