Good morning, and welcome to Saturday Morning Garden Blogging After Hours.
Crappy, crappy weather here in Denver over the weekend; not so great now, but at least it’s kinda-sorta sunny in a hazy way.
Yesterday — it was cold. And cloudy. The sun did peek out just long enough for me to catch a few rays in the cup of this tulip (don’t ask me what kind it is — I forget).
And yet another new tulip for which I have no name — but please note the dirt on it. I don’t know why we’re getting so much dirt with our rain these days, but not only the tulips, but my car windows, have just been coated.
How icky has it been? So icky that, when I braved the chill yesterday to shove the gas plant and Himalayan blue poppiesinto the ground, not even Zasu Pitts Pootie, garden cat extraordinaire, would venture out with me.
So happy Monday everyone -- do check out Miep's Happy Homeless May Day Urban Gardening News.
And if the sun is shining in a clear blue sky, and it’s warm where you are, don’t fucking tell me about it.
