After today's blistering interview with Ray Nagin, you knew that the Bush administration would have to respond - and they have. The Framing has been rolled out in the Katrina horror:
It's all NO Mayor Ray Nagin's fault.
And this photo proves it:
The new question: Why didn't you deploy the buses, Mayor?
"Mayor Bling-bling" and "Mayor Gangbanger" has been the favorite whipping boy of the Freepers since they woke up to the news of a flooded city on Tuesday. Nagin and the female "weepy" Democratic Governor Blanco are being accused of:
acting too slowly in announcing the evacuation;
not providing transportation for those that couldn't evacuate;
not going house-to-house to round everyone up;
not staging cots, food and water at the Superdome for refugees;
not getting the police on the streets immediately with orders to shoot-to-kill looters;
not staging the LA National Guard last Thursday or Friday.
Did anyone else notice that shirt-sleeved, messenger-bagged Traitor Karl Rove was waddling next to Bush today as they arrived at the photo op? He's obviously been hard at work gathering items to craft into his patented "Hit 'em back, hard" defense.
And some of the first counterattacks rolled out as Rove rolled in. This article at RedState.org, The Reckoning, lays out the line of attack. Expect to see this message duplicated everywhere, starting tonight on "Hannity and Colmes". The Right is even denying that Nagin set up a bus evacuation system at all.
Sean Hannity has spent the entire afternoon also laying the full blame for the death of New Orleans at the feet of Nagin and Blanco. Bush and the Feds are blameless. However, the Liberal Media, which is tarring and feathering Bush, is even more to blame, for not telling us the "Truth" as Rove will spin it:
"Bush is finally bringing order to the city, which Nagin and Blanco let fall into the hands of lawless criminals."
Finally: even more deaths will be on Bush's hands by the end of this tragedy, men shot for being black, in town, and carrying a package. The heavy WH emphasis is on the "order-bringing" power of Bush, and the death of at least a few looters will be needed to provide the physical "proof".
Racism and classicism have always been the unseen steam that kept the Republican engine powered up. The lid has blown off, and we are all about to get scalded by the amount of implied and overt racism that emerges from the Right Wingosphere.
