whoosh. They are going by fast. And I'm adding to the problem right here with another diary (and cheating, but you all have probably forgotten my diaries from this morning already). But it's getting to be annoying. I have my diary thingy set to 50, and I still can't keep up. Since a technical fix probably won't happen any time soon, a social fix might be in order. Here's my suggestions for ways the diary police can intervene. Feel free to add more.
- Because of the quickly scrolling diaries, we tend to get the same topics repeated at various points during the day (I suspect the later people just don't see the earlier diaries because they scroll off too fast). If you are posting on something that is a news story or info that other people have access to (eg I saw Dean's speech!), set your diaries to 50, at least temporarily, to see if anyone's written about it in the last 50 entries.
- Kos and friends, give us more open threads, both completely open, and discussing those topics that will be of general interest (such as done with the "what McCain said" business)
- If you are sharing "breaking news", open a 2nd browser and see if someone else has beaten you before hitting "submit".
- If you already see a diary about your topic, post your comment there, even if you have a new take on the subject.
