I'm a Dean supporter, but I'm realistic. I know his chances of winning are not great. But I gave him $25 today, and I wasn't throwing it away. Dean has dragged this entire campaign back towards reality, and the longer he stays alive the more he can attack the Bush record in the ways that the more careful politicians in the race can't.
I know it's not much, but I hope that if enough people who supported him at the beginning and would support him again if he were the front runner just ponied up $25, we'd make a race of this weekend's contests and win in New Hampshire. So far Howard Dean has collected over half a million dollars just today.
$500,000 a day even when you're not the frontrunner anymore is the sort of fundraising that makes one, I don't know, electable.
