We all know that it would be a big mistake not to try to keep active as many of the new political participants that the Dean campaign brought to life as possible. I assume that it makes more sense to work within the Democratic party on a national level than to start a new party. What we need is a counterweight to the DLC. But there are still two major options:
Shall we try to form a new national advocacy group within the Democratic party, or should we try to strengthen (and perhaps transform) a group that already exists within the party?
Kos has mentioned the NDN (New Democrat Network) as a possibility for the latter. Does anyone have thoughts on this? Is there another group that it makes more sense for Dean supporters (and kossacks generally) to join?
If we don't join a current group, what form do people envisage a national group taking?
