I'm not the first to expose this, but I can't believe more isn't being made out of this as us liberals send our money to this person/ scam artist.
I've been following BlackBoxVoting.org for a while and share their concern over e-voting. A post on BartCop suggested that Bev Harris may have sold "Billy C" cigars during the Clinton impeachment. Connecting the dots, there is clear cut proof that she profited from the right-wing coup to oust Clinton.
Update [2004-11-15 17:49:43 by bonds0756]: More evidence suggesting Bev Harris may lean right: http://web.archive.org/web/20000510230039/www.talion.com/blackfoot.htm
In 1999, Bev Harris' company sold a book about conspiracy theories including the "Ron Brown conspiracy". If that isn't a right wing talking point, I don't know what is. Her motive is to make money, not bring the truth, and it is of concern to us because she's taking our cash.

Note that both Bev Harris & "Tailon Marketing" are from Renton, WA. That alone, however, means nothing. What DOES mean something is the email address for Tailon Marketing: SonnyD@bigfoot.com . Check out this snippet from an article on Bev Harris (which can be found at http://www.zwire.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=11835463&BRD=1012&PAG=461&dept_id=141546&r
fi=6 ) :
"Harris' ties to Renton go back seven years. That's when she married David Dudley, a Boeing Co. employee, amateur actor and Machinists Union member.
. . .
Dudley, whom Harris refers to by his nickname, Sonny, said though he's originally from North Carolina, his parents settled in Renton about 30 years ago."
His name is David Dudley and he goes by the nickname Sonny. Sounds a lot like the SonnyD@bigfoot.com email address. When you consider the Renton, WA addresses and the SonnyD email address, it seems pretty clear that we are talking about the same person.
Furthermore, check out the # on the Talion marketing ordering page. It's 1-425-228-7131. Call that number now, and you get BEV HARRIS talking about BlackBoxVoting.
Ok, even if Bev Harris was profiting off the Clinton impeachment, it doesn't mean anything. It could have been her husband's business. She could be a GOP operative. Maybe she just doesn't like Clinton.
Most likely, however, she is a cash-focused opportunist. It seems her M.O. is finding a unique way to profit off of our political system. This time around, however, she has cornered the market. Either way, there is no reason to take this woman as legitimate and send our hard-earned money to her when she has a track record of supporting Republican causes. We have got to call her out on this and let people like Randi Rhodes know they are standing up for a traitor.
