Are there any Hawaii-based Kossacks out there who can comment on what's going on down there? Forget about mainstream coverage--this state is outside of anything I've seen in the blogosphere, which is why
this is so mystifying.
The Hawai'i Poll, taken among 600 likely voters statewide between Oct. 13 and Monday, had Bush at 43.3 percent and Kerry at 42.6 percent. The margin of error was 4 percentage points.
You don't have to tell me that Bush at 43% two weeks before the election still represents significant weakness, regardless of Kerry's numbers, but still--Gore won this state by 18 points.
I'm really just curious why Kerry would be lagging here from where he should be. Anyone have any insight?
