Happy Monday happy gardeners!
Today's demonstration: the wonders of sunlight. Last week I caught the late afternoon sun slanting through a lily.
Looks almost as good as it smells -- and I do wish I could share the fragrance with all ya'll.
On Saturday our heat broke in late afternoon, with clouds and a thunderstorm -- we had a wonderful cool down and a beautiful surprise you'll see over the flip.
A rarity -- a full, brilliant rainbow. Actually it was a double-rainbow, but the faint, second arc proved impossible for me clearly photograph given that I had the wrong lens on the camera and limited ability to position myself given the surrounding buildings and trees.
Yesterday was what the Polish Princess calls a "Chamber of Commerce Day" -- the low 80s and rain-washed air is the kind of perfect weather civic boosters use to tout the wonders of Denver.
We're going back into the heat -- into the 90s today, but at least not to the upper 90s.
Happy week!
