I thought up a question for every state in the union, here they are:
Alabama: Is Bob Riley still on the ropes?
Alaska: What went wrong with Tony Knowles Senate campaign. As far as I remember, he didn't make any major gaffes. Was it his old age, or was it Ted Stevens threatening to do something drastic if Murkowski wasn't elected?
Arizona: Have we secured a challenger for Renzi in AZ-1?
Arkansas: Think Huckabee could be a Republican 'compromise candidate' in '06?
California: Has Califoria truly become an 'ungovernable' state due to things like Prop 13?
Colorado: What the heck is Referendum C & D? I've seen it mentioned here and there, but I actually have no idea as to what it is.
Connecticut: Who's challenging Rell?
Delaware: Any hope of either getting Castle to switch parties or beat him?
Florida: Is there a movement to enact redistricting reform via the initiative process like the Reform Ohio Now movement? I cannot think of a state that needs it as much as you folks do.
Georgia: Has the state's new Republican drawn Congressional district map been cleared by the DOJ?
Hawaii: What's the story on Lingle's re-election?
Idaho: I heard that we got a top notch challenger in ID-1 for Otter's soon to be open House seat, is there any hope of actually winning it?
Iowa: What's the early buzz on the '08 contenders on both sides up there?
Illinois: How's Blago looking for re-election?
Indiana: Which of the 2nd, 8th, and 9th CDs will be the most competitive?
Kansas: If Dennis Moore were to run in an open Senate race, do you think he could win?
Kentucky: What's the news on KY-3? Is this the year we finally get rid of Anne Northup?
Louisana: What are the localized political effects of Katrina, and is it a good thing or a bad thing for us?
Maine: Any news/rumblings on whether or not Olympia Snow will run for re-election?
Maryland: Who gets a higher share of the vote in their upcoming 2006 loss, Ehrlich (to O' Malley) or Steele (to Cardin).
Massachusetts: Will Mitt Romney even run for re-election, or will he avoid the humiliation of being blown out?
Michigan: Who will replace Carl Levin when he retires (that will be a sad day. Levin is a very good man and will be hard to replace)?
Mississippi: If Trent Lott retires, who's the Dem with the best shot to take the seat?
Missouri: What has Baby Blunt done to tank this fast and this far?
Minnesota: Since I'll be moving up there in two-three months, I'm starting to learn pretty much everything I can, so with that in mind, I'm hearing that Mike Ciresi is going to jump into the race for Dayton's open Senate seat. What's the general opinion of him?
Montana: I hear a lot about Tester, but not as much about John Morrison, the other Dem. candidate. He's not a RINO or anything, its just a matter of personal preference, right?
Nebraska: Any hope of possibly taking NE-3 (quite possibly the most unremarkable CD in America, I cannot name a single town in it).
New Hampshire: What's the cahhter on the '08 race (on both sides)?
New Jersey: Who's the frontrunner to replace Corzine if he becomes Governor? Menendez? Pallone? Codey? Andrews?
New Mexico: Any challenger for Heather Wilson, waffler extradornaire?
New York: How did Al D'Amato hang on so long in deep blue NY? I remember reading a story in which Paul Wellstone almost decked him on the
floor of the Senate (over what I don't remember).
Nevada: Is Yucca still going forward, and are local Dems playing the issue correctly?
North Carolina: What would you think of Easley running for the White House?
North Dakota: What are the chances of Hoeven actually challenging Conrad, and if so, what are his chances of winning.
Ohio: Most endangered US House Rep in Ohio and the single most corrupt pol in the state (I know there's a lot of competition for that particular distinction).
Oklahoma: If Istook runs for Governor, any chance of taking his congressional district?
Oregon: Who would be the best candidate to take on Gordon Smith in '08?
Pennsylvania: Two questions: Which of the 6th or 8th CDs do you think is more competitive, and secondly, how big will Casey's margin be over psycho Santorum?
Rhode Island: Chafee's really on the ropes, eh? First he's gotta get through a bruisng primary against Laffey and then beat Whitehouse or Brown. Here's a tip for you Linc, just head over to Harry Reid's office and switch parties. It will make your life so much easier.
South Carolina: As I live here, I'll provide an answer rather than a question. I'm beginning to think that Mark Sanford is emminently beatable. He doesn't play well with others (the Leg) and is too beholden to ideology to ever be an effective Governor. I think Tommy Moore is the guy to beat him.
South Dakota: What's Daschle up to these days?
Texas: Have Republicans probably hit their high water mark, or are there worse things to come? Oh, and does anyone have any doubt as to the fact that the TX-22 race (Lampson v. DeLay) will possibly be the nastiest House campaign in living memory.
Tennessee: How is the Frist political scandal playing out in TN? Any calls for Frist to step down yet?
Utah: How in god's name does Jim Matheson keep getting elected in his deep red district?
Vermont: I heard that Vermont was considering becoming the first state to offer universal health care coverage? Is the idea still kicking around in the Legislature.
Virginia: Kilgore is tanking while Kaine is coming on strong. Do you think that we're gonna win?
Washington: Is it true that the eastern portion of the state is mounting a movement to secede from the rest, citing disenchantment with Seattle running everything?
West Virginia: Can we clone Robert Byrd? Seriously, anyone challenging SMC for her seat?
Wisconsin: How's the race in the 8th shaping up?
Wyoming: Is Barbara Cubin insane (I know Chenowith was)?
