**About Delegates to the Convention***
Democrats Abroad is prepping for our convention in Edinburgh on Friday, getting organized and reaching out to supporters of other candidates to join us. I believe that DFA presents a really unique opportunity to continue on the path of changing America for the long term, and supporting the nominee so that Bush slithers back to the dysfunctional dungeon he came from, administration in tow. Because the question has come up whether or not it makes sense to continue to gather Dean Delegates, and because the Gov. will be endorsing Gov. Kerry tomorrow, we asked and he answered:
"You have it exactly right. I do not plan to release delegates until we all get together to talk in Boston Please spread the word. Howard Dean"
So, just to recap:
- The Gov. has been saying publicly that he wants to gather delegates, and this re-confirms it.
- The Kerry endorsement doesn't affect this. Releasing his endorsers is not the same as releasing his delegates.
- For those who want to spread the word to people at home, this wiki is a pretty good resource on the numbers: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Democratic_Party_presidential_nomination%2C_2004#State-by-state_re
