In view of some recent Supreme Court Rulings, and my on-going education into the ways of China, which seems poised to become the next world's superpower, I'd like to offer comparisons between the Chinese government and ours:
1. In China, the government can arrest journalist for reporting on "State Secrets"

3. The Chinese government allows major industries to freely pollute the environment, with no consideration for the private citizens affected.

4. China has a one-party government which excludes dissenting minority opinions
- The US has an effective one-party government which excludes dissenting minority opinions
5. China has the beginnings of a public health system, but many people still have little to no access to significant health care
- The US has the remains of a once decent public health care system, and many people now have little to no access to significant health care
6. China has the beginings of a public education system, but many people have limited access to higher public education

7. China is able to put astronauts into space, and is developing a strong space program

8. China is able to feed all of it's people, but some still go hungry

12. China has a robust economy, with some concerns looming on the horizon

13. The Chinese people are beginning to demand greater freedoms and democratic reforms, but change comes slowly
- Americans are loosing freedoms and democratic principles, but perhaps people are waking up
