Republicans in the media are starting to prep the public for the possibility that we might have to cancel the November elections for security reasons.
Think I'm making this up?
Check out David Brooks in today's New York Times. The "message of the day" from Conservatives is that it was an unconscionable act for Spain to carry out elections in the aftermath of a terrorist attack. Echoes of this are reverberating through the media, from Fox News and Instapundit outward.
I don't know about you, but it sounds to me like Republicans are crossing the line here.
On the surface, it seems improbable that the Republican Party would succeed in preventing November elections. But I'm not sure exactly who would have to approve such a move. The House? The Senate? The Supreme Court?
Why do Conservatives want to stop our elections? Why do they hate America so much?
