Pres. Clinton stumped for Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland in Columbus this evening. He gave a masterful speech as expected, deconstructing Republican arguments on life, the economy, healthcare and everything, piece by piece and point by point, continually returning to the theme: don't let the Republicans back in after only 20 months after 8 years of digging the country into a hole. At least, he says, the Democrats have stopped digging and deserve 2 more years to reverse the damage of Bush policies, which he says were in the mainstream of GOP philosophy.
Anyway, this diary is just a collection of photos I took of the Big Dog during this event.
Gov. Strickland's running mate Yvette McGee Brown:
the Republicans say: "please let us back in":
But facts matter:
Uh huh:
Pres. Clinton spoke for an hour or so, eviscerating Republicans and analyzing the economy and health care with science and logic. A guy next to me said "no one ever gets tired of listening to Bill Clinton."
Rope line:
Update: I forgot to post this photo. Apparently the Wicked Witch of the West was irked by this rally:
Surrender, Ted!
The GOP timing was off however, as the plane flew over when the warm-up band was playing and was gone by the time Bill and Ted arrived.
