To recap, the teabaggers gifted us the Delaware Senate seat today by nominating crazed lunatic Christina O'Donnell, while a teabagger insurrection fizzled in the Maryland GOP gubernatorial primary -- former Gov. Bob Eherlich won easily.
In NH-01 NH-02, our O2B candidate Ann McLane Kuster won easily. Lieberdem Katrina Swett has already conceded. You can celebrate by donating $5-10 to her campaign, since holding that seat will be critical to keeping Nancy Pelosi in the Speaker's chair.
Update: If you think tonight is fun, just think about how awesome the GOP 2012 presidential nomination battle will be!
Update II: Wow:
Update III: Providence Mayor David Ciciline has the early line for the nomination in RI-01, the Pat Kennedy seat. With 45.5 percent reporting, he has 35.7 percent of the vote in a fragment field that includes David Segal (who had significant netroots support). The runner-up candidate is at 22.4.
Ciciline will be only the third or fourth openly gay member of Congress. In this district, the primary is the whole game.
Update IV: The GOP civil war begins early.
One senior Republican leadership aide blasted DeMint for his involvement in the race, arguing he cared more about his own personal stature than a Republican majority in the Senate.
"DeMint took it a step too far here, and I think he has lost the remaining credibility he had, even within the caucus," said the aide. "DeMint is not interested in a majority, he'd rather establish himself as the leader on the fringe."
Update V: Rick Lazio, who made Muslim-hating the centerpiece of his GOP primary campaign (with non-stop bashing of the Park51 Burlington Coat Factory community center), is mired in the 20's with 10 percent reporting. So... I wonder how that worked out for him.
