I've been thinking about the next laptop. I've had a Dell Inspiron for the past 4 years, that I've been really happy with. I've thought I would go with Dell again, but wait until later in the year when the new version of Microsoft Windows (Vista) comes out. That way it comes preloaded, instead of having to pay for an upgrade.
However, the new Intel Apple Powerbooks look interesting. I've always heard the claim that you don't have to worry about viruses with OSX, but it seems that may have changed, with Apple having to put out patches to plug the holes (ala Microsoft). I guess this is similar to some of the arguments & debate about IE & Firefox.
Which do you prefer? The PC or Mac?
I thought about this, after seeing something over at
Fark. They linked to a
video of one of the Intel iMacs booting up & running Windows, with the caption...
Windows boots on the new Intel Mac. And the sun became as sackcloth, and the moon became as blood...
One of the commenters responded...
"Make Windows work on a PC first, then I'll be impressed"
