"We are already at war" - UN official to RAW STORY.
Cheney and Rummy are out-manuevering Condi for control of the Oil Wars and are putting the conquest of the Iranian oil fields in Khuzestan closer and closer. Raw Story reports:
The Pentagon is bypassing official US intelligence channels and turning to a dangerous and unruly cast of characters in order to create strife in Iran in preparation for any possible attack, former and current intelligence officials say.
One of the operational assets being used by the Defense Department is a right-wing terrorist organization known as Mujahedeen-e Khalq (MEK), which is being "run" in two southern regional areas of Iran. They are Baluchistan, a Sunni stronghold, and Khuzestan, a Shia region where a series of recent attacks has left many dead and hundreds injured in the last three months.
Khuzestan has 90% of Iran's oil production and is 60% Shia Arab, many of whom wish independence from their Persian Shia overlords from Tehran.
One former counterintelligence official, who wished to remain anonymous due to the sensitivity of the information, describes the Pentagon as pushing MEK shortly after the invasion of Iraq in 2003. The drive to use the insurgent group was said to have been advanced by the Pentagon under the influence of the Vice President's office and opposed by the State Department, National Security Council and then-National Security Advisor, Condoleezza Rice...
Asked how long the MEK agents have been active in the region under the guidance of the US military civilian leadership, the UN official explained that the clandestine war had been going on for roughly a year and included unmanned drones run jointly by several agencies.
In a stunning repeat of pre-war Iraq activities, the Bush administration continues to publicly call for action and pursue diplomatic solutions to allegations that Iran is bomb-ready. Behind the scenes, however, the administration is already well underway and engaged in ground operations in Iran.

Things are heating up in Khuzestan. Tomorrow, the 15th of April, is the one-year anniversary of the Arab uprising. Expect more US shenanigans in order to provide the excuse to take the 100 billion barrels of oil underneath a province the size of Massachussets and New Jersey combined.
An article recently placed in the Washington Times by the neo-cons highlights the neo-con excuse for the Khuzestan Gambit:
Repression of Arabs Fuels Unrest in Iran
Thursday 23rd March 2006, by John R. Bradley
This article originally appeared in The Washington Times on March 15, 2006.
AHVAZ, Iran -- Unrest among ethnic Arabs in this remote capital of oil-rich Khuzestan province bordering southern Iraq presents Iran with its most serious domestic security threat since the 1979 Islamic revolution, just as discussion in Washington about Iran's myriad internal ethnic and religious divisions reaches fever pitch.
Two men found guilty of bombing a bank here in January, killing six persons, were publicly hanged from a crane this month. Both were ethnic Arabs, who are a slim majority in the province and have close ties to Iraqi Arabs across the border. A day earlier, three other Iranian Arabs reportedly were executed in a local prison. Three more face imminent death, opposition groups say.
About 50 Arabs have been identified as being behind bombings that killed 21 persons after anti-government riots in April last year, officials say. The rioters were furious at the leak of a letter attributed to former Vice President Muhammad Ali Abtahi, which he denounced as a forgery, that disclosed "official plans" to expel Arabs from the province, and replace them with ethnic Persians.
At least 20 persons were reported killed and hundreds were injured in the riots. Amnesty International said security forces summarily executed many of those arrested, but Tehran dismissed the charge as false.
The scale of the riots probably would have escaped attention outside Iran if Arabic Al Jazeera television had not managed to get a video crew into Khuzestan. It subsequently was barred from reporting from the province.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has since canceled three trips to Ahvaz at the last minute. The official reason each time was "bad weather," but it was more likely security threats. One of the worst bombings took place just hours before the president was to address a rally.
Repression 'wrong policy'
"Geographically, the unrest in Khuzestan has turned into a very great threat," said Ibrahim Yazdi, a former Iranian foreign minister who now heads the opposition Freedom Movement in Iran.

I will be continuing to report on operations inside Khuzestan and how the neo-cons are attempting to avoid the mistakes Saddam made when he invaded Khuzestan and united the Arab and Persian Iranians against Iraq.
Bushco seems determined not to make the same mistake.
It seems we are about to split off southern Iran, from the Iraqi border to the Straits of Hormuz...
Please recommend this to get the name Khuzestan out there!
