Has anyone else noticed that there is a virtual news blackout of the one year anniversary of the invasion of Iraq? CNN Headline News has had some clips of the foreign protesters but nothing on the other channels and nothing about American protesters, that I have seen.
FoxNews stuck with their business crap. MSNBC - and later CNN and FoxNews - cut to President Bush at a rally in Orlando. CNN and FoxNews stayed on the speech. MSNBC went back to their regularly scheduled "Headliners & Legends" repeat at 12:30 p.m. about Ben Affleck - much more important than the protesters, don'tchaknow.
Then, there is C-Span, which has regularly broadcast the war protests from both NYC and DC. But nope, they broadcast a repeat of "Washington Journal," and then later, the Bush speech.
Why no rally coverage? Dennis Kucinich is scheduled to speak at the NYC rally this afternoon.
At 4:30 p.m., Ralph Nader and Alex Jones [7 p.m.] are speaking at a protest in Crawford, Texas, near the president's ranch [he's in Orlando though].
What gives?
