Cenk's newLY-found conservatism is not something that should surprise any of you. It's a manipulation technique practiced by the media and was probably taught to Cenk by his newly found friends at MSNBC (although it doesn't work as well for them because they don't go as far as FOX). This psychological technique is practiced by Fox News, CNN, Huffington Post and most other news organizations excluding PBS (which is probably why most people don't watch their exceptional programming).
When your emotions have been deeply affected by an event or words, (hence the nearly 1500 comments on Cenk's diss to the president) regardless of whether it's a positive or negative emotion, (although negative is more effective - everybody remembers where they were on 9/11) you're likely to become attached. In short, Cenk's ultimate goal is to suck you in forever via your brain's reward system.
Fox has been doing this for years. They refuse to validate your feelings and they know that it's innately human to stay attached until that happens. Many people have caught on to Fox's game, but most of their viewers have become attached, and as a result, Fox dominates all the other news organizations in the ratings department.
Of course media know all the tricks of the trade. Corporations have the money to hire psychologists to study these techniques and to perfect them all. They know that you can't be angry 100% of the time; that would expose their insincerity. It's more like a 90/10 mix. The ten percent does enough to affect your brain's reward system and keep you coming back for more. It becomes addictive. News becomes addictive - much like gambling. The slot machine will make you angry many times over, but it only takes a couple of wins to keep you coming back forever. Before you know it, you're mortgaging your home and replacing the church's collection plate money with IOU's.
So don't be fooled by these "pundits" and their psychological tricks. Don't be suckered into watching and replying. They're trolls whose sincerity has not yet been identified by most of their viewers.
