Earlier today I posted a diary inviting Kossacks to come and look around a possible new snug where we could all get some relief from the frenetic life on Daily Kos. Here we can post those interesting diaries on here that too sink rapidly out of sight as topics. We can chat using the private messages and we be serious or just have fun. If you didn't see the announcement, you will find it
here.
I hope that in the big, busy pub that is Daily Kos, this new site might become a small snug off the main bar where we can sit and talk at a more leisurely pace:
First up there is the next UK Election 05 - Diary 3. I like the way it is "my" topic on there! All the hard work has been done by Febble and saugatojas.
One of my favorite cartoonists is Andy Vine. The general election has been called and all of a sudden Blair and Howard find that they need the rest of the population. Andy has done a strip around the idea of the party's leaders touring of Britain wooing the "ordinary" people. I liked this one:
My only sadness is that the "ordinary" person that these obsequious politicians, who seem to only go out every four years to meet the real world, did not meet Maryscott O'Connor. I feel she might have been a bit more specific in her reaction to them.
There are more photos and cartoons in the diary, Best of all, though, is the news that Febble brings. She tells us that the dearest wish of all Kossacks here is likely to be met, whilst Edis explains what a Pope and Charles and Camilla have to do with our election.
Go here to see the latest member of the Daily Kos Alumni and click on Politics and Legislation for UK Election 05 - Diary 3 or go here to be taken straight to the diary itself.
Comment there or here - but you are very welcome try out the new site to see if the special pub snug is warm and comfortable enough for Daily Kos sideshows.
Oh yeah! Sorry to ask, but so other people know that the new diary is up and where it is, please recommend this one.
