This is a suburban district, mostly Republican, on the outskirts of a very liberal area of MI.
Turnout was huge. We were expecting maybe 250 or so, but ended up getting well over 350. (The discrepancy in numbers is due to void ballots, which were disqualified--with agreement from campaign representives--for reasons like
no signature, or incorrect information filled in.
Also of interest: A lot of self-proclaimed Republicans dropping in to vote, declaring that for Nov. they were ABB. Apparently, they just couldn't take it anymore, or so they said.
