It began today - the house of cards is folding before our eyes. Just a few things that happened today:
- Two press outlets directly showed the President lying today
- Sharon Bush (Neil Bushes ex-wife) publicly talked on 20/20, about shady Bush business dealings in Iraq
- BusinessWeek said: 'Bush looked -- at least for the first half of the debate -- like Elmer Befuddled, a commander-in-chief not in command' they also wrote: 'SPUTTERING SCREWUP. The poignancy of a man ill-prepared for and overwhelmed by his job was never more apparent than when Bush said, 'I never wanted to commit troops. When we were debating in 2000, I never dreamed I'd have to do that.'
- Yes, BusinessWeek really said that
- Many conservative commentators publicly trashed Bush
But most telling are all the stories that are coming out the woodwork about lifelong Republicans who were stunned by the vacuousness of the man. These folks are just now realizing the kind of person that we have in office- a venal lier, a mean spirited, petulant little boy who was promotes his family and class interests at the expense of his country. For four years Bush has been tightly managed to hide his essential shallowness. Millions just found out that they've been rooting for a fraud, and that stunned response you see is people coming to terms with it.
