Media Matters flags a question posed on Twitter by CNN contributor Erick Erickson about an AP article titled "Atlanta public school system put on probation":
"Does Atlanta need its own version of Katrina to get its schools fixed?"
Yeah, clearly what conservatives need to get their way in Atlanta is a deadly, destructive natural disaster to wipe the slate clean, because old-fashioned approaches like building coalition, having better ideas, and winning elections are really boring. Or at least they're boring to Erickson, who is quitting his post as a city councilman after skipping 70 percent of council meetings so that he can spend his time dreaming up conservative solutions like this instead of actually doing the hard work of governing.
