I had originally intended to head over to The 1000 Islands Environmental Center for some photohiking, but it was such a gorgeous sunny day I figured it would be packed so I headed to the Heckrodt Wetland Reserve instead.
Beautiful sunny day. I had the snow shoes in the trunk, but the trails were compacted enough not to need them.
Life sized bald eagle's nest display.
Random trail pics.
Did you spot the deer?
Nice day for a hike. Sunny and over 30 degrees.
There are many of these type tributes to folks who've contributed to the reserve.
More trail pics.
Trail Map Display.
Wisconsin Indian mound replica display.
Some parting shots. The shadows were getting long, and I was getting tired.
So there you have it. Another little glimpse into my part of N.E. Wisconsin, hope you enjoyed.
