Today on Fox News, Condi Rice sacrificed her last bit of decency to perpetrate another Bush lie. The sad part is, it was a very easy lie to avoid. It was a rare lack of preparation from Bush Co. The question involved Bob Woodward's book, specifically the passage where the President responds to George Tenet's intelligence on WMD with "that's all you got?". Condi drew the distinction between the intelligence and the presentation thereof. That the intelligence was sound, but it was presented poorly. So Tenet's Power Point skills were lacking? The information was there but it didn't have any pretty pictures? And this is so easy to skirt around (usually a hallmark of Bush Co. interviews)! Just say something like: "at the time, the intelligence was thin, but more information was coming in every day and we got to a point where we felt the intelligence was incontrovertable."
Worse, during her long-winded speeches in response to no question at all, she repeatedly said that the intelligence was good, and believed by all. Well, no, Condi, clearly you didn't.
Such a poor answer indicates ANOTHER lie, and implies what we have all said all along, that Bush took weak intelligence (that apparently he didn't even buy) and hyped it to America and the world.
