I thought we were being hammered by ads, but I didn't know it was this bad!
Apparently, Albuquerque Is Second Only to Miami in TV Spots for Presidential Candidates:
Sharon Welch has already made up her mind who she's voting for, and the relentless barrage of television ads coming from both sides has just made her want to scream.
"We get a few too many ads," she said while having coffee Friday with a friend at a Starbucks. "Neither of us likes the ads. Nobody votes based on ads.
"I just look away."
Sorry, Sharon, it's only going to get worse.
According to a new study by Nielsen Monitor-Plus and the University of Wisconsin Advertising Project, Albuquerque is the second-most popular market for political television ads in the nation for the presidential race.
That sums it up. I keep hoping that some of Bush's incredibly negative ads, plus the Swift Boat Liars' ads, will turn people off.
